Legacies and giving in memoriam

By leaving a gift to Ideas Matter in your will, you can provide a lasting basis of support for our mission to promote an outlook of open, honest, informed debate and a desire to learn more about the world.

Making a will is usually a good idea, regardless of whether you wish to leave a legacy to us. While we don’t offer our own guide to making a will, you can find useful information on making a will from the Money Advice Service and Money Saving Expert. You may not even need a solicitor.

To avoid ambiguity, please refer to ‘Ideas Matter’ and give our charity number, 1178999.

If you decide to leave a legacy or have already included Ideas Matter in your will, please contact us to let us know.

Giving a donation to Ideas Matter in memory of a friend or family member can be a wonderful way to remember them. It is a way of promoting the virtues of education, debate and active citizenship.

For example, you can set up a fund through a charity fundraising service or you can ask friends and family to donate to Ideas Matter rather than sending flowers. Please contact us if you would like help or advice.
